Core'dinations & Tombow Blog Hop

YESSSSSS !!  I finally have internet again :)))  We've been on a month long horse showin' holiday and are heading into week 3 and have had REALLY sporadic internet access :(( ..... BUT, we're back into civilization again and I am back to blogging .....

So on to a fantastic Blog Hop with Core'dinations and Tombow - what a fantastic match......

I have been a HUGE Tombow adhesive fan for a very long time, so naturally I was excited to show off my love of this glue for the Core’dinations / Tombow Blog Hop !!
One of my fave Tombow adhesives is the Glue Pen.  It truly is the best for adhereing tiny little pieces without having any excess glue sneak out the sides :) )

I started this card using a piece of Core’dinations cardstock from the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection (No. 28 – LOVE the kraft core) …… I cut a 12 x 12″ sheet down to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and then folded it in half to open like a tent.  I then put the front of the card base into the Darice Woodgrain embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.  I lightly sanded off the top layer and got a super effect for the front of the card .....

Using several different pieces of cardstock from the 6 x 6″ pkgs, I cut the branch, owls and hearts using my Silhouette.  Because this cutting tool is so precise, you can get teeny tiny little pieces of cardstock.  This is why I love the Tombow Glue Pen.  It was so easy for me to ‘draw’ my glue onto the back of all these little bits and they adhered perfectly where I wanted them …..
To finish it off I adhered a sentiment sticker from the David Tutera Celebrate Card Making system using 3D foam ….. Too cute !!

....... and as always Core'dinations is SUPER generous and so is Tombow so that means PRIZES !!!

All you have to do is head over to the blogs and comment to win >>>>>> EASY !!

Good luck and thanks for stopping by .....

Blog Hop w/ Core & Imaginisce

I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing blog hop this week ..... The Core'dinations and Imaginisce Design Teams got to play with each others product this week and I was sooooo excited to get to mix Imaginisce product into my Core'dinations projects !!

The iRock is such a cool tool and it worked perfectly with this layout of our big german shepherd, Samson.

I added a piece of Imaginisce polka dot patterned paper from their camping collection (CUTE) and then got to work with my iRock and Glam Rocks !!!

This tools is so fun as it heats up super quick and sets the 'rocks' fast too.  I used the metallic and red rocks and covered all the gold dots on the patterned paper and addeed them to my title and highlighted a few of the stars as well.  I really love how they made the layout pop !!!

...... I couldn't stop there and had to create a card too :))

I don't often make square cards but I really wanted to use the Imaginisce iRock tool for the center of my butterflies and the 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 David Tutera Celebrate card base was the perfect size.

I added a piece of pre-embossed Core'dinations cardstock to the base.  The red posies are super sweet behind the polka dots of the Imaginisce patterned paper. I lightly sanded the edges first and then raised the patterned paper off the base using 3D foam.

I punched butterflies from (3) colors of cardstock and lightly sanded the edges before adhereing them.  I only added adhesive to the center of each butterfly so that I could raise the wings.  I used the base of one of the dimensional stickers from the Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure collection and added a birthday sentiment sticker from the David Tutera Celebrate line on top using 3D foam.

To finish it off I set a red Glam Rock to the center of each butterfly using the iRock and them gently lifted the wings to add some dimension !!

Now make sure you head over to the other girls' blogs and check out all they've created for you too :))
