Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving weekend !!!!

I am certain that many of you are in your comfy 'turkey pants' right now....just like me :))

I spent a bit of time in my office creating pretty things but mostly it was about family for me this weekend......

The first 2 days were spent hanging out with all the great ladies at BC Crop for Kids .... This kit was what they got in my SOLD OUT workshop featuring Pebbles Inc. - whooo hoo.....everyone loved the (6) layouts they left class with :)) 

Then there was my boys' first ever hockey game with referees - super exciting (how cute is he) and it was a GREAT game !!!

...... and then it was Thanksgiving dinner with my '4 family' ......we had a super yummy dinner and spent some great time just us !!

We finished off the weekend with a family photo shoot by my good friend Treena of Seaside Studios - seriously so much fun......Can not wait to see all the shots she got :))

I hope that you and your family had the most fun this past weekend and were able to take note of all you're thankful for ..... i sure did !!!

David Tutera & Core'dinations

I have a few more cards to share with you today....

.....they are using the BRAND new
Celebrate Collection by David Tutera and Core'dinations !!!

This is a VERY simple card making system that allows anyone and everyone to create quick and simple hand made cards in just minutes.

As of today, this system is sold exclusively is JoAnne's in the US ..... BUT there are rumours it is going to be available in other stores near you soon !!!

Here are a few of the cards I whipped up using a few of the MANY pieces from this fun collection.



Everything in this line is pre-cut, pre-punched, pre-embossed, pre-everything.......They've thought of everything to allow you to create quick and beautiful cards in minutes flat !!



Having said that.....For those of us that like to get crafty, you can mix & match, pull apart, SAND of course and so much more......

World Card Making Day

Happy World Card Making Day everyone !!!

There is so much going on today on all the blogs ...... and mine is no exception :))

FIRST, I am going to share my card that I made for Bella Blvd. .....and make sure you keep reading as there is a GIVE-AWAY .....

I have to say that the 'birthday boy' collection very quickly became one of my favorites.  I find it so incredibly fun and easy to use, and this card was no exception.  I created this on a 5 x 7" base as it is for my nephews 5th birthday and both my kids wanted to write a note to their cousin inside, so we needed space !!

I started with 2 different patterns as the base and then added 'cute cuts' and chip shapes to embellish.  I wrapped some twine around the bottom and cut a slit in the fold of the card to wrap it through.  I threaded it through the button holes and finished it with a bow to match the 'cute cut' bow on the present !!!  A few stickers to finish it off and it was ready to put in the mail……

BC Crop for Kids

I thought I'd give you a peek at a couple layouts that I am teaching this weekend at the BC Crop for Kids event in Abottsford BC.....

This one is part of "Black, White and Classics" featuring the Classics Collection from Studio Calico.....The girls will be creating (2) single 12 x12" layouts and (1) double 12 x 12" layout....fun techniques in this workshop.....including glitter on DIY Thickers by American Crafts !!!

This is part of my fave new workshop "From 6 x 6 to 12 x 12" featuring Sunny Side by Pebbles Inc.  In this workshop you will learn how to create (5) single 12 x 12" layouts and (1) double 12 x 12" layout using a 6 x 6" paper pad !!!

better .... and another

hey there....Well after having lost the past 10 days to a fractured ankle I am finally starting to feel a bit better - thank goodness !!!

I have been swamped here with projects for upcoming workshops and can barely see the floor of my office - love it .....

Another layout....

I am standing beside a riding ring this morning as I type :))  Emma has her finals for a show series this weekend and the weather is perfect (thank goodness).....
