Over on the Bella Blvd. Blog

This super fun project was featured on the Bella Blvd. Blog yesterday so I wanted to here with you too !!

I had so much fun creating this and was starting to call it the neverending project as I kept adding pieces the longer it at on my desk. I saw a really cute Christmas Countdown Calendar online last year (Pinterest of course), but it was really small and just for the 25 days of Christmas.

I wanted to create a piece that had my kids able to visually see the days leading up to many special times throughout the year. Their Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, summer vacation, etc, are all so exciting for kids and mine are always counting down to something on the calendar. I thought this was a fun piece to get them just a little more excited throughout the year.

Each of the (10) cards are 4 x 6" and were created either with journal cards from the Cute Cuts or simply cut from patterned papers. I used more Cute Cuts, stickers, designer tape, alphas, buttons, chip shapes and flags to embellish each one specific to it's theme – LOVED making these special cards.

I adhered a piece of grey/white sohpisticates inside the back of the canvas and added a glassine bag to hold the cards that weren't being used.

Then I punched out (30) pieces of the brown/tan chevron paper (Daddy's Girl) and lightly sanded all the edges. I printed out the numbers onto white cardstock, punched them into circles and adhered them onto the patterned paper bases.

I made a cute little envelope to keep them in and adhered it using velcro so that the kids can take it off to search for the number and then tuck it back in behind. Once it was finally complete, I showed it to the kids and they LOVED it. Can't wait to get it up on the wall as St. Patricks Day is just around the corner.

Make sure to head over to the Bella Blog and have a look at Allyson's calendar as well as some great layouts and another fabulous SKETCH by Becky Fleck !!!

It's been too long ..... I'm sorry !!!

OMG - I am SOOOOO sorry for not posting for an entire week !!!  I've been so crazy busy with these kids of mine (gotta love 'em) ...... BUT i absolutely have been creating too !!!

All last week (in between kids stuff ;) i was busy working on LOTS of projects .... that you can't see YET .... but you will soon - i promise !!!

Until then I am going to share a quick a easy card I made using one of my VERY fave products .....

DESIGNER TAPE ..... This is my stash that ALWAYS sits on my desk and i LOVE it !!!

This card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" and is from the David Tutera Celebrate card making system by Coredinations .... I simply adhered several different Bella Blvd. Designer Tapes diagonally onto the base and trimmed off the edges !!  I dug into my 'Birthday Girl' collection by Bella Blvd. and precision cut out this super cute cupcake, added a button with twine and a sticker sentiment !!

Quick and easy in under 10 minutes ...... doesn't get better than that :)
You can get these incredible tapes in store HERE ..... with more on their way soon !!

NEW Layout - LOVE

So it was late and I was exhausted .... BUT, at midnight I decided it was good a time as any to sit down and work on a new layout !!

The new Dear Lizzy 'Lucky Charm' collection keeps calling my name so I pulled it out again, turned on Erin Brokovich and this is what I came up with ......

I started with a Sketch Challenge posted by

I added Bella Blvd. designer tape to the edge of the striped pp and then border punched it ..... I used a different border punch on the red stars strip and even used my heart border punch on the edge of my journaling piece !!  A rub on horse was exactly right for this layout and a few adhesive backed buttons coordinated perfectly......

The chip shapes and matching stickers made were a great
addition .....

..... and mixing Bella Blvd. Ciao Chip alphas with a 'remember rub on made for a perfect title....

I cut a journal card from one of the patterned papers and put it in my typewriter, then cut it down to size.  I put a date stamp and a piece of an arrow sticker on the left edge to finish it off !!

I know I've said it before but I am so in love with this collection and am thrilled with how it showcased this great pic of Emma a few show seasons back :)))

Don't forget to get your 'Lucky Charm' HERE but hurry as it is literally flying out the door .....
